I entered the contest, Art Takes Times Square.  The top artists artwork will be displayed on the massive billboards of Times Square this summer.  I need some votes to have my work viewed by the judges for a chance to win this amazing, once in a lifetime award.  Please go to kimberlytilley.artistswanted.o… and click "Collect Me". It's fast and easy.  There is no need to create another account. You can sign in using your Facebook account just like one of the apps.

I chose three color and three black and white pictures to have displayed on the contest website.  I'm not sure if they are the right ones to showcase, but I do think they show my range of work. There is a Maine seacoast print, an Aster, a hillside in spring, a beautiful swan, an icicle dripping from a rock edge and a spider eating a dragonfly. You can click on the image thumbnails to have a larger view of the photos. The deadline is May 25th, 2012.  Thanks for your support!

I have sent my friend Lelia of, Parents Against Bullying, four photographs to auction off at her Anti-Bullying Awareness Event on October 8 at the  Laconia High School. These photographs were recently taken in Maine.  They are not available for sale yet.  They are the first prints and are signed on the back.  The photographs are size, 10x8 and are matted on 14x11 boards.

One photograph is of a bee on the red flower. It is actually from a set of images that will be made available later.  It is really neat, because the bee's tongue is out.  I have never seen a photograph of a bee with it's tongue out, have you?  If you have I would like to see it, I think it's an exciting rare capture.

One photograph is of Black-eyed Susans, and another of a couple of white Asters.  And the fourth photograph is of Admiral butterflies on Asters.  This was a tough shot to get because they kept fluttering around, I think they were matting, or trying to at least.  Or maybe fighting, anyways they were to engaged in an activity to know that I wanted them to be still so I could photograph them with ease. :D

So, go forth and bid to buy the prints and support my friend's cause so that children can feel safe at school.  Visit www.facebook.com/parents.voice for more info.

These photographs will be auctioned off at the Anti-Bullying Awareness Event on October 8, 2011 at Laconia High School, 345 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.  The event hours are 16:00 - 20:00 (that's 4pm to 8pm).
